The Finest in Finnish Book Arts The Finnish Book Arts Committee operates under the auspices of the Finnish Book Foundation. It nominates annually the Distinguished Books Selection from amongst fine Finnish books, grants The Book Jacket Award for the finest book jackets, and nominates The Best Designed Book of the Year. The winners are awarded with diplomas and displayed at libraries, book exhibitions and fairs. The nomination process for the Distinguished Books Selection begins in October–November 2004, which is also when a related press release and new application form will be published in Finnish and Swedish. Book submissions will not accepted before this time. Each submitted book must be sent with its respective application form.
